ALICE- EUROPEAN PLATFORM FOR LOGISTICS 

The European Technology Platform ALICE is set-up to develop a comprehensive strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management innovation in Europe. ALICE is based on the recognition of the need for an overarching view on logistics and supply chain planning and control, in which shippers and logistics service providers closely collaborate to reach efficient logistics and supply chain operations.

I-SENSE GROUP of ICCS 

I-SENSE is one of the Research Groups of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National University of Athens in Greece (NTUA). Founded in 2002, I-SENSE Research Group is committed to the highest standards of academic excellence and research innovation in the field of electrical, electronic and computer engineering & technologies. Research at I-SENSE focuses on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Virtual Environments, Assistive Technologies, Smart Integrated Systems – Sensors, Communication, Platforms, Mobile Networks and it spans across many disciplines such as Mobility, Environmental Studies, Logistics and Supply Chain, Citizen Science, Cybersecurity, Culture and Resilience to address questions of global significance and local relevance. In the above areas, I-SENSE responds to present-day needs, opens up new networks for action, builds synergies and works together with industry to offer a world-class research environment for critical inquiry and scholarly exchange.

Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT)

The Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), founded in 2000, is a leading Research Centre in Greece listed among the top 20 EU institutions with the highest participation in competitive research grants. It is a non‐profit private status legal entity, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. The Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) (http://hit.certh.gr), is one of CERTH’s five (5) Institutes devoted to the promotion and undertaking of transport research in Greece, Europe and beyond. Its main mission is to provide state‐of‐the‐art research and create innovation in the field of transport at a national, European and international level, addressing issues related to transport policy, planning, management, operations and infrastructure for all modes, and covering technology, social, economic and environmental aspects. CERTH/HIT is also involved in training and education activities.

ILME- HELLENIC INSTITUTE OF LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT 

ILME is a non-profit organization, founded in 1994, that aims to be a solid community of professionals, researchers and companies, dealing scientifically and productively with supply chain issues. Its action is voluntary, aiming at the benefits that sharing and cooperation have both for its members and for society as a whole. At the same time, through ILME’s actions, Greek logistics are competitively strengthened and promoted abroad. ILME is a full member of the European Logistics Association (ELA), which constitutes the largest and most important Logistics organization in Europe. ILME represents ELA officially in Greece and acts as a certification body for the ELA Certification for Logisticians (ECBL). ILME’s core values include professional training and development, excellence, business community and transparency, innovation.

PROJECTS 

JIDEP 

 The JIDEP project designs and develops a digital platform where industrial data is fused for interconnecting different sectors into the collaboration pipeline for data reusability and facilitate the unlocking of value from data. It builds upon the principles of Industry 4.0, by adopting a coherent approach for the semantic communication between diverse actors. JIDEP is a platform to any organization which has any kind of data obstacle to be addressed, on its paths towards delivering more sustainable product. Built-in tools are made available for unlocking the value of the data, which can lead to the development of more sustainable innovation. JIDEP is also an optimizing continuum, covering the entire product lifecycle and steering it towards circular standards implementation at technological and regulatory levels. The JIDEP platform is a tool equipped with resilience frameworks for growing capacities to withstand supply chain disruptions. 

PILL

 URBANE

URBANE is a widely multidisciplinary project, including 12 cities, aiming to co-develop novel last mile delivery solutions combining green automated vehicles and shared space utilisation models. The project vision is to provide evidence of the real introduction of the Physical Internet in urban deliveries, as well as the creation of a Replication and Scale up Model for the LL’ exemplars, which will ensure a wide and fast introduction of successful smart green last mile delivery solutions in the EU cities.
